Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technology present on the market for couple of years. It helps companies to automate repetitive tasks done by employees or to make integration between systems not having available endpoints. This session will help you to: * Learn what is RPA * Learn what is attended RPA vs. unattended RPA * Discover capabilities of UI flows * Discover capabilities of WinAutomation * Get inspired to use RPA in your processes too! Using RPA helps to increase effectiveness in processes by automation of the most repetitive tasks. It also ensures the tasks are done errorless. UI flows is GA since 1st April and quite recently Microsoft acquired Softomotive, maker of WinAutomation. Join me to learn today about the technology of the near future.
Have you seen the scope control in list of Flow's actions? Have you ever thought how to use it and basically, why is it there? Maybe you have also noticed the "run after" functionality? If you haven't had yet, or have had, but still in doubt how to, join this session! You'll learn: * how and when to use those functionalities in your Flows * how to create a try-catch constructions * in which other patterns you can use them Smart usage of scopes and run after functionalities helps your Flows to run really errorless. It's really good to be familiar with them.
Cards are in Office 365 for some time already. Originally created as Message Cards after some time rebuilt from nearly a scratch to become Adaptive Cards. Today they can be used in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. This session will let you to learn: What is a difference betweeen Message and Adaptive Cards, How to design cards, How to use them - a working example What to expect from version 2.0 announced during MS Build conference. Process designers should make their processes as intuitive as possible, allowing their participants to take their part in the most effective way, whether this is an e-mail, Teams conversation or a task somewhere in Office 365. Using Cards helps creating new channel for efficient participation in business processes.
Power Automate approvals is a powerful functionality allowing business processes designers to easily assign a task to anyone in the organization and then design process based on the outcomes. Assuming that assigned person will complete a task is bad and can easily lead to failing processes. The built-in options, that allow tasks management only by their owners is usually not always sufficient. If you ever found yourself in a situation, where task wasn't completed because assignee wasn't able to do it, join me during this session to learn about possible approaches for managing tasks. During this session you will learn: * What is the tasks architecture at a Microsoft Dataverse level * What built-in functions technology have * How to design and build workflows, that allow automation around tasks, eg. substitutions, reassignments, approvals on behalf, completion of approvals when specific amount of responses is met etc.. Stuck task assignments is a bottleneck in every process. Workflows can't proceed because they are waiting for that one last approval. Start using 100% of what approvals in Power Automate have to offer.
